I’m not going to pretend
I’m no expert or guru when it comes to Online Marketing but what I do know is enough to get started. I’ve been following the business since 2006 and have dabbled a little, however I was in love with being a bartender and set out to pursue that career instead, all the while keeping an eye on what was going on in the world of Online Marketing.
While some things have changed, I see that the underlining message always stays the same and that’s what I’d like to share on this page.
First – If you haven’t heard this before it will probably make you a little bummed, there is NO push button system that will turn you into a dot com millionaire overnight. Yes some people do find success right away but those stories are few and far between.
Second – It takes work. You get out what you put in. So it is helpful if you start with something you enjoy or have a passion for to help keep you going when those speed bumps appear.
I’ve come up with a micro checklist that should help out with the beginning part of online marketing. For everything else I’ll try to provide helpful, current and valuable resources for you.
Thank you for reading and best of luck!
- Decide your going to take action and do it
- Don’t listen to the noise! You’re gonna hear “why or what are you doing?” so much it’s gonna cause doubt, the #1 dream killer! DON’T listen to it!
- Find a group of people with a need, passion, interest, that you can help or provide a solution for – (finding a niche.)
- Research what people are asking for/about, questions and answers.
- Research where they are talking and sharing info about their interest.
- Stay organized (keep all relevant info in a folder)
- Provide a solution for the need, question, or problem. (name of the game is helping people)
- When ready to provide a product you’ll want to finally get a domain name and hosting
* If your confused by some of the terminology, I have a definitions page here to help.*
